The Spanish Alphabet

Why is the Alphabet so important?  Because it it the foundation for any language and if students of a language are able to understand the sounds that the letters make in the target language, it will make it easier for the student to pronounce the words and understand what they are hearing when spoken.  

Word Stress

Word stress refers to the placement of the emphasis in the words.  This is determined by the letter that the word ends with.  Click on the video or the link below for more information and practice with the concept.

Number and Gender of Nouns

Unlike English, Spanish words have a gender.  It has nothing to do with whether a word is a ¨male¨ or ¨female¨, because frankly you can´t know, but with the history of the word, where it was borrowed from or what letter it ends with.  Click the video or the link below for further information.
