About Me...
I have been teaching Spanish at Jefferson City High School since 2009. Prior to coming to Jefferson City, I taught at Eisenhower High School in Houston, Texas for a year and did my student teaching at Victory Early College High School. I graduated from Brigham Young University in December of 2009 with a Bachelors in Spanish Teaching and Minors in Coaching/PE and Business Management. I completed my Masters in Education (Curriculum and Instruction) through William Woods University in 2012.
I have also been an advisor for Key Club since 2012 and helped students organize and run the annual Paint The People 5k, Reading buddies at Thorpe Gordon and seek out/organize opportunities for students to participate in volunteer opportunities in our community.
Every summer since 2012 I have partnered with Shane Williams (Spanish Teacher) to organize a summer hosting program for students in our community with students from Spain. It is a 5 week hosting opportunity for families to interact with these students and help them experience the American culture in the MidWest.

Personal Mission Statement |
I take it upon myself to provide an informative and engaging atmosphere of learning for students so they will be excited about learning and using Spanish in a meaningful way. If the students feel engaged and excited about learning, they are more inclined to reach their full potential in all aspects of their life!
