Unit Objectives:

  In this unit students will review some of the basic concepts of Spanish that will help the student be successful in communicating in the language.  At the end of this unit students will be able to:​​
  • Communicate about their daily routine at home and that of others in their family.
  • Communicate about their eating habits, what they like and don't like to eat. 
  • Place an order at a restaurant.
  • Ask an attendant the cost of items in a store.
  • Search and find out the exchange rates of different countries, and how it compares to their own lives. 
  • Compare and contrast the living standards of other countries with their own. 
Students will review the following grammatical concepts to be able to accomplish the above big ideas of the unit. ​
  • Identify when a verb is reflexive or not. 
  • The use of Direct and Indirect Object Pronouns in Spanish and in English, to make communication more efficient.
  • Give commands to tell others what to do, especially in regards to making a recipe.
  • Give commands of what NOT to do.
