Unit Objectives: ​

In this unit students will review some of the basic concepts of Spanish that will help the student be successful in communicating in the language.  At the end of this unit students will be able to:
  • Communicate about what themselves and others are doing in the moment. 
  • Communicate about the things they like, love, or dislike about clothes and activities.
  • Tell a clerk which clothes they like or do not like in the store.
  • Give and receive directions around town.
  • Communicate about different stores and what they sell to others.
  • read and identify key information in ads for making purchases.
Students will accomplish the above objectives by learning the following grammar points to help them communicate effectively. ​
  • Use verbs like GUSTAR to describe what they like or do not like to do, or about items. 
  • Use the PRESENT PROGRESSIVE to communicate what is happening in the moment and contrast it with the regular Present Tense.
