Unit Objectives: ​

In this unit students will review some of the basic concepts of Spanish that will help the student be successful in communicating in the language.  At the end of this unit students will be able to:
  • Communicate about activities they can do here in Missouri, as well as other countries.
  • Communicate about things they have to do, want to do, need to do, etc.
  • Communicate about activities that they do in the different seasons of the year and how frequently. 
  • Present on activities that can be done at different locations in Missouri. 
Students will accomplish the above objectives by learning the following grammar points to help them communicate effectively. 
  • Recognize the common Stem Changers, what it means and when they change their stems. 
  • Recognize the common verbs that are irregular in the YO form. 
  • Understand the basic rules using multiple verbs in a sentence to communicate what they can do, want to do, are going to do, etc. 
  • Understand the difference between SABER and CONOCER.
